where to buy KORLE millet in Bangalore

Korle, or Brown Top Millet (BTM) is an extremely nutritious grain. But it is not cultivated widely for various reasons. If you are interested to know more about it, and also understand some of the reasons for BTM being even more hard to find than the other millets, please read my article on these amazing grains on my personal blog.
I would like to encourage folks looking for BTM to take a few minutes to look at the nutritional chart and identify how almost all the different small millets available more easily than BTM do offer an equally amazing bouquet of nutrients. The supply of BTM will improve, but while waiting for that, do consider trying / including the many other small millets into your diet.

Can different types millets be mixed for consuming ?

There are schools of thought advocating for and against mixing of different cereal grains, whether as flour or as rice.
My personal opinion is that we all make compromises, so if mixing somethings will help you supplement your family’s nutritional intake, go for it. though, do practice the precautionary principle – gradual changes, observe body’s reaction to change, step further if things are as predicted / expected.

This site on millets is very good and people nowadays need fast food and recipes which can be prepared fast. The idea of millet food kiosks is very good.
If such kiosks are available everywhere then people will start tasting n then start cooking. Good idea. Keep it up.

yes all millets are good for people suffering from diabetes, roties are normally considered to have low glycemic index, when the millets cooked with pulses they are also well suited for millets.

Yes mullets helps in maintaining glycemic index when taken rice it digests very fast and the sugar in rice dissolves in blood very fast results in increase in diabetics but Millets takes some time to dissolves in blood hence helps in maintaining balanced glycemic index. In Main Fox tail millet is very helpful to diabetic ones

Looking for some Barnyard Millet (jhangora) recipes please. can you help?

I would like to let you know that Barnyard millet is similar to Foxtail or Little millet. You can make all the recipes that you make with other millets, using Barnyard. Barnyard is a bit soft and also cooks faster than Foxtail Millet. We have found that Curd rice made with Barnyard come out quite well.
