for millet rice do they soak them in water and then use the soaking water for cooking? how long do they soak for if yes?
Millet rice has been dehusked and does not require soaking.
is it because in order to dehusk millet they have to soak it first, so it is already soaked that is why no need to soak again?
there is no need to soak the millet grain to dehusk, we need to dry the grain. If you soak the grain it will get spoiled. For parboiling of the grain – there is a different process. It is also similar to paddy.
I cooked samai like rice but it was husky. Can’t eat. How to remove the husk
can i take little millet, foxtail millet and broken wheat mixed together in place of rice everyday?
After cooking the millet , do we have to drain the water
No. there is no need for draining the water. The millets rices are similar to Paddy rice in cooking.
Draining water will lead to loss of nutrients.
